Citizens Windstorm Insurance

I wanted to share this, you can get substantial discounts on Citizen’s property insurance premium by having an inspection done on your property.  If you haven’t had a windstorm inspection you could be entitled to discounts up to 44% of your premium.  Homeowner who have had an inspection, but did so prior to 07/01/05, there are now additional discounts available to you.

May Sales Statistics

New Listings

  • Single Family-2,110(20% lower than 07′, a year ago it was 14% lower)
  • Condo/Townhome-2,357(26% lower than 07′, a year ago it was 10% lower)
  • Total all property types-7,068(21% lower than 07′, a year ago 2% lower)

Total Available Inventory

  • Single Family-12,525(2% higher than 07′, a year ago it was 28% higher)
  • Condo/Townhouse-16,007(6% lower than 07′, a year ago it was 39% higher)
  • Total all Property Types-37,643(3% lower than 07′, a year ago it was 37% higher)

Single Family Sold

  • 468 closed sales, 21% down from 07′, a year ago it was down 27%
  • Median sales price, $295,500, down 19% from last year

Condo/Townhome Sold

  • 588 closed sales, 14% down from 07′, a year ago it was down 27%
  • Median sales price, $140,000, 30% down from 07′, a year ago it was down 5%

Given our current inventory and sales levels, if there were to be nothing else listed, we have a 27 month supply of single family homes on the market(up 17% from the previous month) and a 27 month supply of condos on the market(down 6% from the previous month)
